Managing Resources

This article introduces how sub-administrators manage resource permissions in the Admin Console of EnOS Application Portal.

Note

The management tasks that sub-administrators can perform are subject to the authorization from OU administrators. For more information, contact your OU administrator.

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure that:

  • You have permission to manage resources. For more information about the permission to manage resources, contact your OU administrator.

  • You have the management permissions on the organization structures or user groups of the target resources.

Assigning Resource Permissions

  1. Accessing Organization Structure Tree:

    • Assign an organization structure to the application. See Assigning Organization Structure.

    • Assign visible organization structures to a role, then assign that role to users. See Assigning Visible Organization Structures.
The organization structure tree visible to users is the intersection of the organization structure assigned to the application and the visible organization structures assigned to the role. If a user or their user group is not assigned any resources, the user can only see the framework of the organization structure tree without access to any resource permissions.

  2. Accessing Resource Permissions:

    • Directly assign resource permissions to users or their user groups. See Assigning Resource Permissions by User or User Group.

    • Assign resource permissions to an organization structure, then assign that structure to users (completed in Step 1). See Assigning Resources to Nodes.
The final accessible resource permissions for users are the union of directly assigned resource permissions (to users/user groups) and inherited resource permissions through the organization structure. Note that users can only access resource permissions under their visible organization structure tree (Step 1).

Assigning Resource Permissions by User or User Group

Assign resource permissions to users or user groups through the following steps:

  1. Select Resource Permission from the left navigation pane in the Admin Console of EnOS Application Portal.

  2. Select the target user or user group, and select Add Resource on the right.

  3. In the Available Resource section, select one or more resources.

  4. Select Submit.

You can remove an assigned resource permission by the following ways:

  • Select Remove icon_remove in the assigned resource list of the target users or user groups.

  • Select Batch Remove in the Add Resource pop-up window, select the target resources, then select Remove.
