Managing Developer Portal

Natively registered applications within EnOS will be displayed in the Developer Portal of the EnOS Application Portal and synchronized to the Developer Portal Management page in the Admin Console. For creating or modifying native applications, please contact the system administrator.

This document introduces how OU administrators manage the organization structure, menu, and resource permissions of native applications in the Admin Console of the EnOS Application Portal.

Assign Organization Structure

  1. In the left navigation pane of the EnOS Application Portal Admin Console, select Developer Portal Management.

  2. Select the Assign Organization Structure icon_assign_org_struct for the target application.

  3. In the pop-up window, select the organization structure. A single application can be assigned to a maximum of 5 organization structures.

  4. Select Confirm.

After assigning an organization structure to an application, the application can display information such as nodes, layers, and resources within the organization structure.

Note

EnOS by default assigns corresponding menu group access permissions to predefined developer roles, which are Device Access and Management (ID: DCMadmin) and Application Developer (ID: APPdev).

Manage Menu Groups

Adding a Menu Group

  1. In the left navigation pane of the EnOS Application Portal Admin Console, select Developer Portal Management.

  2. In the application list, select Manage Menu Groups icon_manage_menu_grp for the target application.

  3. In the left menu group list, select the plus icon +.

  4. In the pop-up window, enter the menu group name and select Submit.

Managing Menu of Menu Group

  1. In the left navigation pane of the EnOS Application Portal Admin Console, select Developer Portal Management.

  2. In the application list, select Manage Menu Groups icon_manage_menu_grp for the target application.

  3. In the left menu group list, select the target menu group, and on the right page, select Manage Menus.

  4. In the pop-up window, select the application menus to be added to the menu group and select Confirm.

After configuring the menu group, you can assign it to a role, allowing users with that role to access the menus in the menu group through the frontend of the application. For more information, see Assigning Menu Groups.

Granting Application Resource Permission

An application must obtain resource permissions to display data on the page. Follow these steps to grant resource permissions to an application:

  1. In the left navigation pane of the Admin Console, select Developer Portal Management.

  2. Hover over the ellipsis icon (…) next to the target application and select Manage.

  3. In the Grant Resource Permissions section, choose one of the following resource authorization methods:

    • Do not grant resource permissions: Ensure that the application cannot access any resources within the current Organization Unit (OU).

    • Allow this application to get all resource permissions as an OU admin: Allow the application to access all resources within the OU, suitable for applications requiring comprehensive data access.

    • Allow this application to get the specified user’s resource permissions: The application’s access permissions are bound to the specific user’s permissions, allowing the application to access all resources that the user is authorized to access. You can assign resource permissions to users to allocate permissions to the application.

After assigning resource permissions to the application, the application can display these resource data. You can continue to assign resource permissions to users to ensure they have the right to view resource data in the application.

Adding a Tag

Application tags can be used to mark categories, proxy accounts, and other information for the application. Follow these steps to add a tag to the application:

  1. In the left navigation pane of the EnOS Application Portal Admin Console, select Developer Portal Management.

  2. Hover over the ellipsis icon (…) next to the target application and select Manage.

  3. In the tag settings section, select Edit i_edit.

  4. In the tag settings pop-up window, enter the key and value for the tag. To add multiple tags, select Add Tag.

  5. Select Save.

To delete an already added application tag, in the tag settings section, select Edit i_edit, then in the pop-up window, select the delete icon i_delete next to the application tag and select Save.
