Unit 2: Assigning Developer Role¶
Operator |
Operation Location |
---|---|
OU Administrator |
EnOS Application Portal > Admin Console |
Before performing asset import and management in the EnOS Application Portal, the operator needs to obtain developer role permissions. If the developer role has already been assigned, you can skip this unit.
This unit introduces how an OU Administrator grants a user developer role permissions. After obtaining developer role permissions, the user can import and manage related assets in the EnOS Application Portal, preparing for subsequent application management.
Note
For convenience in this tutorial, the OU Administrator will be granted developer permissions, allowing them to access both the Admin Console and the Developer Console. In other scenarios, the OU Administrator can grant any user developer permissions; users with only developer permissions cannot access the Admin Console.
Procedure¶
The OU Administrator should follow these steps:
Log in to the EnOS Application Portal and select the OU created in the previous step.
Click the Console icon
in the upper right corner and choose Admin Console.
Select Users from the left navigation pane.
Select Manage
on the right side of the OU Administrator account row.
In the user details page, select Assign Role and choose DCM Admin from the pop-up window.
Select Confirm.
Note
In the EnOS Application Portal, developers are two built-in native roles: Device Access and Management (Role ID: DCM Admin) and Application Developer (Role ID: App Developer). They can access device access-related native applications and data management and application development-related native applications, respectively.
After completing the above operations, log in to the EnOS Application Portal using the account that has been granted developer role permissions, access the Developer Console, and then proceed with the following asset preparation steps.
