Scenario 1.1: Pre-registering a Smart Device


Scenario 1.1 introduces the registration of a single smart device in the cloud.


The figure below illustrates the workflow for Scenario 1.1.

The main steps of this scenario are as follows:

  1. Register the device in the cloud to obtain device triple information.

  2. During device manufacturing, burn the device triple information into the device.

  3. When the device powers on and connects to the network, it sends an authentication request with the triple to the cloud. For more information, see Static Authentication.

  4. After successful authentication, the device is activated and comes online.

  5. The device can report data to the cloud or receive commands from the cloud.


Due to the need to burn the triple during manufacturing, this scenario offers high security but lower operability.
